Canada Post celebrates freedom, adventure and speed, with the release of the first two Permanent™ domestic rate stamps in a set dedicated to Canadian motorcycle manufacturing and design. The two stamps travel back to the turn of the century, when out of the desire to merge the flexibility of bicycles with the speed of cars the first motorcycles were created. The stamps showcase two early models, the CCM 1908 Lightweight Motor Cycle and the 1914 Indian.

Halifax, NS – The Atlantic Roadracing League (ARL) has continued its tradition with Honda Canada and Pro Cycle this year as they help support the High Performance Riding Academies. For 2013 ARL has found some additional partners who are supporting the support not only by their assistance with helping riders compete, but also partnering with ARL to sponsor Classes as well as different aspects of the events taking place at Atlantic Motorsport Park in Shubenacadie.

Since the first Ride For Dad in Ottawa in the year 2000, over $9 million dollars has been raised nationally for research and to raise awareness of this prevalent but preventable disease. At the 2013 Ride Kick-off in Edmonton a giant cheque for $102,950 was accepted by Dr. John Lewis on behalf of the Cross Cancer Institute. The cheque represented the money raised by the Ride For Dad in Edmonton and Rural Alberta in 2012.
