Those who braved the cold temps on Friday and Saturday and the snow blast on Sunday were treated to another fantastic running of the North American International Motorcycle Supershow, held January 3-5 at the International Centre in Mississauga, ON. Everything from new models to charity rides, vintage bikes, award presentations and custom builder competitions were part of what is considered to be the largest motorcycle show in North America.

On the 16th of November, the Vintage Road Racing Association held its final event of the 2013 season, the Annual General Meeting (AGM). Chris Hurst took top honours, earning the Number One plate for the upcoming 2014 season with five race wins across four classes on machines spanning over 20 years of motorcycle racing history! The heart of the VRRA is the preservation of our racing heritage, and Chris is one of the finest representatives of that spirit.

In spite of a terrible weather forecast, the faithful racers of the Vintage Road Racing Association headed to Autodrome St-Eustache for the final round of the season on September 7-8. Fortunately, Mother Nature (or the racing gods) chose to bless them with incredible temperatures to finish off a turbulent but successful 2013 campaign.

This past weekend, I was lucky enough to be a part of the VRRA Vintage Festival held at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park (Mosport) outside of Bowmanville, ON. The weather really could not have been better, with comfortable temperatures, plenty of sunshine and no rain! Vintage bikes were everywhere and the action was great.

The weathergirl had been threatening us with symbols of thunderstorms for days leading up to the Niagara Motorcycle Ride For Dad on Saturday, June 1. When you're committed to a ride like this (which goes rain or shine), all you can do is just hope for the best - there's no getting out of it with so many people counting on you!
