(February 27, 2013) - Motorcycle-Superstore.com and AMA Pro Racing have announced the extension of their existing partnership with GEICO Motorcycle AMA Pro Road Racing for the third consecutive year. Motorcycle-Superstore.com will once again be named as the Official Motorcycle Parts and Apparel Online Retailer of the Series and the title sponsor of the AMA Pro Motorcycle-Supersport.com SuperSport division. As part of the agreement, AMA Pro Racing will distribute $25,000 to riders in the form of a year-end points fund due to the gracious support of Motorcycle-Superstore.com.

Multi-time Canadian Motorcycle Association national flat track champion and Number 1 plate holder Don Taylor has secured himself a ride for the upcoming AMA Grand National flat track season.
Taylor, who spent most of his time in Canada last year contesting both dirt track and road racing events, will be riding for AMA Hall of Famer Bill Werner. Taylor will be aboard a twin that is based on a Kawasaki 650 squeezed into a J&M frame.

Sunday's festivities at the BigM Weekend at Miller Motorsports Park in Utah included the Superpole in eni World Superbike competition, final qualifying in AMA Superbike and XR1200, and the first of two races in both AMA Daytona Sportbike and SuperSport.
Starting from 26th position on the 47-rider grid of the 13-lap Motorcycle-Superstore.com Supersport race, Javelin Broderick (pictured, above) consistently lowered his lap times and finished in 17th position aboard his Dynojet/ZAG Racing/Yamaha YZF-R6. Originally from Sudbury, Broderick currently resides in Las Vegas (not California as we reported earlier today).

In Saturday's initial qualifying sessions at the World Superbike/AMA BigM Weekend at Miller Motorsports Park in Utah, Darren James was again the top Canadian qualifier after a provisional 7th place standing in the AMA XR1200 class with a best time just under 2:14. Ben Young's best time of 2:03.5 in the first GoPro Daytona Sportbike qualifying session was seven seconds behind the leader, while Canadian-born Californian Javelin Broderick was well off the 1:59 performance by Hayden Gillim in the Motorcycle-Superstore.com Supersport session. Josh Hayes qualified on the pole in National Guard Superbike.
