September 26, 2013- The racing series might have been new, but by the time it was over there were a lot of familiar faces leading their respective classes. With a schedule that included seven races over five very different tracks, the inaugural season wrapped up with a Friday The 13th matinee in Simcoe.

In spite of a terrible weather forecast, the faithful racers of the Vintage Road Racing Association headed to Autodrome St-Eustache for the final round of the season on September 7-8. Fortunately, Mother Nature (or the racing gods) chose to bless them with incredible temperatures to finish off a turbulent but successful 2013 campaign.

Moscow (Russia), Sunday 21 July 2013 - Marco Melandri (BMW Motorrad Goldbet) is back on the top step of the podium after an epic race 1 that was hard to imagine before the lights went off. Melandri's third win in the season means a big step up in the points for the Italian, who is now 32 points away from new Championship leader Sylvain Guintoli (Aprilia Racing Team).

The Vintage Motorcycle Road Racers Association (VRRA) toasted its racers this past weekend at the annual awards banquet, held at the Ramada Inn in Trenton, ON. Upwards of 200 racers, teammates and families were part of the banquet, which saw plaques handed out in all classes as well as special awards given to some of the club's most deserving competitors and volunteers (see below)

Two of Canada's most recognized drag racers will be competing in what is being touted as the biggest motorcycle drag race in the world, the Haltech World Finals at South Georgia Motorsports Park (SGMP) on November 9-11. Ethan Barkley, Canada's most successful Pro Street racer and Terry Schweigert, Canada's fastest 1/8 mile Pro Extreme Motorcycle competitor, are both headed to Valdosta, GA for the final round of the 2012 Manufacturers Cup drag racing series.

The NHRA made its first formal move in addressing what was a glaring rules disparity between Harley-Davidson V-twins and the rest of the Pro Stock bike field, officially banning four-valve motorcycle engines effective in 2013. This move was made to address a performance advantage and exclusivity issue that has been a dark cloud on the class for the last couple of years.
For the past few years, Vance & Hines was the only company producing the Harley-Davidson V-Rod motors that powered their race team's Pro Stock Bikes, ridden by Andrew Hines and Eddie Krawiec. The V&H team has won a shocking 13 races in a row dating back to last October, which already accounted for one rule change this year, and a second (a minimum weight increase of 10 lbs) was just announced.
