As our cover clearly implies, the October issue is a celebration of all things nostalgia. From the sixties-inspired logo to the photo of Lang Hindle at Mosport back in 1978, we wanted to make it clear that this was the issue for those who embrace their love of old bikes and simpler times.

This past weekend, I was lucky enough to be a part of the VRRA Vintage Festival held at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park (Mosport) outside of Bowmanville, ON. The weather really could not have been better, with comfortable temperatures, plenty of sunshine and no rain! Vintage bikes were everywhere and the action was great.

Mods N Rockers Toronto 2013 was a resounding success all around. Upwards of 250 motorcycles and scooters were out each day, with many more patrons on top of that who came out to smell the nostalgia, stare at bikes and meet fellow retro-minded riders.

The 41st annual Paris National Vintage Motorcycle Rally takes place on the weekend of June 14-16 at the Paris Fairgrounds in Paris, Ontario. Admission is just $5 and festivities include a large swap meet, road runs, motorcycle games, tech seminars, vintage motorcycle and trials demonstrations, vintage and classic concours as well as a large display of classic Kawasaki Z1 motorcycles.

It's not often that a new motorcycle store opens up in Ontario these days, and even less so in Toronto, a city with a real love/hate relationship with two wheelers. Having said that, it was nice to hear that a new moto retail shop was opening up in the trendy west end of downtown Toronto.
