MEDINA, Minn. (Sept. 21, 2015) – Matt Smith of Victory Racing made four straight outstanding runs on his Pro Stock Victory Gunner in the Sept. 20 elimination rounds and finished second at the NHRA Carolina Nationals at zMAX Dragway in Charlotte. With that great performance, Matt moved up to fourth in NHRA Pro Stock Motorcycle points after the opening round of the six-round NHRA Countdown to the Championship.

Despite a disappointing weekend at the NHRA Harley-Davidson Drag Racing Series at Virginia Motorsports Park this past weekend, the Kevin Boyer Nitro Harley drag racing team is pleased to announce a three year partnership with ACE Manufacturing Metals Ltd. The custom manufacturing company is based in Alberta, has been the primary sponsor of KBR for over 10 years and will continue to support the team's efforts as it chases the NHRA Harley-Davidson Drag Racing Series 2013 Championship.

The NHRA made its first formal move in addressing what was a glaring rules disparity between Harley-Davidson V-twins and the rest of the Pro Stock bike field, officially banning four-valve motorcycle engines effective in 2013. This move was made to address a performance advantage and exclusivity issue that has been a dark cloud on the class for the last couple of years.
For the past few years, Vance & Hines was the only company producing the Harley-Davidson V-Rod motors that powered their race team's Pro Stock Bikes, ridden by Andrew Hines and Eddie Krawiec. The V&H team has won a shocking 13 races in a row dating back to last October, which already accounted for one rule change this year, and a second (a minimum weight increase of 10 lbs) was just announced.
