Yamaha Motor Canada is shining the spotlight on two new 2013 motorcycles, the FJR1300 and the V-Star 1300 Deluxe.
According to Yamaha, the FJR1300’s new state-of-the-art innovations include electronic cruise control, traction control system, drive-mode that lets you select performance character, meter panel design with advanced styling and function, and a new aerodynamic front cowl for improved comfort on long distance rides.
The V-Star 1300 Deluxe is the world’s first production midsize “bagger” and the features include a fuel injected, liquid cooled 1300cc V-Twin, stylish fork mounted fairings, hard shell saddlebags, iPod/iPhone ready audio system and a Garmin Zumo 665 Navigation system.
Since its launch in 2007, the Can-Am Roadster has created a buzz thanks to its unique Y-shaped, three-wheeled footprint. For 2013, Bombardier Recreational Products (BRP) is adding the Spyder ST to the Roadster line-up, and Canadian riding enthusiasts will get their first live look at the new model in six weeks at the Toronto Show.
Can-Am/BRP describes the Spyder ST as having the right blend of comfort and sportiness for that quick jaunt to the grocery store, a spirited ride on a favourite country lane, or a week-long getaway. Its sport-touring lines are immediately apparent with the pod in front of the driver, its sleek design and lines offer a stylish look, but also functional protection from the elements while on a long touring ride. Adjustable windshield (4 inches of travel) and removable wind deflectors complete the protection package.
Motovan is one of Canada’s leading motorcycle, MX and ATV parts and accessories companies, and they’ll be out in full force with their line-up of new apparel and accessories at the Show in early December.
One of their more popular lines is Joe Rocket, and they’re teaming up with Dave Hatch, the host of TSN’s Motorcycle Experience (North America’s longest running televised motorcycle program) at the Toronto Motorcycle Show. Fans are invited to drop in at the Joe Rocket booth to meet Dave, talk about all things two-wheeled, do a little “bench racing” and enter to win prizes including a grand prize of a Joe Rocket RANT full face helmet and Hard Core Canadian riding jacket.
“Motovan has really stepped-up their involvement at the Toronto Motorcycle Show this year and added excitement to their displays with the Joe Rocket prize giveaways and appearances all weekend-long by David Hatch,” said Neil Fardy, the Show’s manager. “In addition to Motovan’s line-up, our attendees will see a wide assortment of apparel and accessories represented by the other top brands in the sport, and they can pick-up some great savings along the way, thanks to the exclusive show specials that several exhibitors will be offering.”
