Markham, ON. (May 9, 2017) – Honda announced today the addition of the CB650F to its streetbike lineup for 2018, and also confirmed the return of the recently updated CBR650F and the popular GROM.

The CB650F is the latest Honda middleweight four-cylinder naked bike, a lineage that dates back to the CB400F of the 1970s. The company boasts a great power-to-weight ratio, pared-back style, and comfortable riding position - all elements of a great-performing mid-size streetfighter.

“We are excited to offer this strong-performing, mid-size motorcycle into our line-up this year,” said James Marchand, Assistant Vice President, Motorcycle, ATV & Power Equipment at Honda Canada. “The naked version of the CBR650F provides yet another choice in an already robust line-up for both new and returning riders.”

Designed by team of young engineers, the CB650F is powered by a 649 cc inline four-cylinder engine. With minimal bodywork, the view of the handsome engine and twin-spar frame is unobstructed. Suspension comprises a Showa Dual Bending Valve fork and adjustable shock, and both the headlight and taillight feature LED bulbs. The throaty growl emitted through the Honda signature side-swept exhaust headers and the single, organically shaped, under-swingarm muffler all come together to make this bike a hard to ignore package for any rider.

CBR650F

Returning to the lineup is the full-fairing CBR650F. Updated for 2018, it touts the same engine as the CB650F with a great mix of midrange torque and low reciprocating mass. From long distance riders to weekday commuters, this nimble midsized four-cylinder sport bike is ideal for a broad spectrum of users. Like the naked version, the CBR650F boasts a Showa Dual Bend Valve fork and Nissin front brake calipers, and while the sporty bodywork provides wind-reducing aerodynamics, strategically placed openings offer peekaboo views of the handsome cylinder bank and sculpted exhaust headers.

GROM

GROM. For anyone remotely familiar with the cultural revolution birthed by Honda’s 125cc sport bike, that simple four-letter word conjures thoughts of enjoyment and fun. An instant cult classic, the Grom has captured the hearts and throttle hands of riders of all sizes and ability levels. A major portion of its charm is its diminutive stature, nimble handling, and new rider friendliness. The lightweight feel and peppy powerband contribute to its broad appeal, while the big-bike-inspired styling turns heads in every environment. With a four-speed transmission, manual clutch, and disc brakes, the Honda Grom is as serious as it is fun.
