Registration begins at 8 a.m. and the ride starts at 9:15 p.m.
Riders are welcomed back to Bingeman's to enjoy lunch, prizes and entertainment at 12 noon. This year riders will have the chance to win the grand prize of $1,000 cash! The more money riders raise, the greater their odds of winning!
This annual event was first developed seven years ago by local community member John Emrich. After his wife was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis John reached out to the local Chapter wanting to make a difference. Both John and his wife Rose were avid motorcyclists until the disease made it to difficult for Rose to ride. Today John still looks forward to the success of the event each year and knows he has made a lasting contribution to the fight against MS.
Money raised through the Freedom Ride has enabled the MS Society, Grand River Chapter, to improve the quality of life for hundreds of people living with MS in our community. Funding is used assist those in need to purchase mobility equipment such as walkers and wheelchairs. Funds raised by the chapter also go to research, seeking a cure for MS as well as better treatment options.
