Welcome to ADVENTURE SPORT! The all-new BMW S1000XR marks the logical next step for BMW, combining its oh-so-good superbike-derived sport bike engine with the adventure traits of its GS dual sport range. What you've got is something more along the lines of a sport touring motorcycle with dual sport cred and 160 horsepower, but you'll have to pick up the latest issue for the full lowdown!
Also tested in the September issue is the feisty little Honda CB300F, the standard, naked version of Honda's new-for-2015 Honda CBR300R. Based on the same platform with the same engine, the upright riding position provides a more relaxing perch than the sporty R version. How does it fare in today's growing introductory metric bike market? Grab the September issue to find out!
For the touring fan we stay local and take a nice long weekend tour along the north shore of Lake Erie, where Senior Editor Jason Thorpe cruises the coast and brings back a report of gorgeous lake views, tasty food, wonderful beaches and easy riding.
If you're a race fan we've got oodles of coverage for you, including an interview with X Games athlete Doug Lawrence, a profile of the exciting nitro bikes of the CMDRA Pro Dragster division, and a Rapid Classics article on the Suzuki TR750 racer of the 1970s.
Add in our regular mix of industry news, product reviews and the intriguing ramblings of our talented columnists, and... well, you've just got to pick up your own copy to see what the September issue of Inside Motorcycles is all about!

The newest issue is here!
The July/August (Vol. 16, Issue 06) issue of Inside Motorcycles is a doozy! We start off in Italy with a review of the new Ducati Hyperstrada, the latest in the Strada series from the Italian maker. It's a bike that was born for the twisties. Next we're in Daytona riding the Triumph Street Triple, the brand's best-selling model packing three cylinders and 675 cc of sporty fun. Then it's onto the fire roads with the new-for-2013 BMW F700GS - a BMW for just over 10 grand and one competent all-round ride.

In this issue:
We test the revamped 2013 Ducati Hypermotard on the streets of Spain and take the sport-minded SP version to the Ascari racetrack, giving Ducati's dedicated supermoto machine a truly balanced workout. Toni Sharpless implores you to take a two-wheeled vacation to the heart of Mexico, where she found that the dangers being reported on the news were nowhere to be found, replaced instead by wonderful riding roads, quaint towns, gorgeous scenery and amazing people.

The 636 returns: The new Kawasaki ZX-6R graces our cover after Colin Fraser gets a few days with it in California. Jason Thorpe discovers that the V-Strom 650 EXP is an excellent all-round machine with comfort, smoothness and lots of storage for the more serious adventure tourer. On the adventure tip, Warren Thaxter visits five states in a two-week off-road adventure in the western US... while on the other side of that fine country, Thorpe was cruising around the Appalachians, finding some sublime riding roads and enjoying the company of friends.

On the cover: the Triumph Tiger Explorer is certainly one of the buzz bikes of 2012 - Senior Editor Jason Thorpe puts it to the test, but will it live up to the hype? Andrew Nelson is also celebrated on the cover as a first-time MOPAR Canadian Superbike Championship race winner after many, many years of trying!
In addition to the Explorer, we also test the MV Agusta Brutale RR 1090 and the Yamaha YZF-R1. Of the naked, 156 hp Brutale, Editor-At-Large Costa Mouzouris comments that "everything about it says supersport in disguise," while Tech Editor John Sharrard considers the traction control-enhanced R1 "a quantum leap ahead of the first crossplane-crankshaft R1 that turned the engineering wold on its end when it was debuted in 2009."
