July/August Issue - On Sale Now!

The newest issue of Inside Motorcycles (July/August, Vol. 15 Issue 4) is starting to hit the streets!

On the cover: the Triumph Tiger Explorer is certainly one of the buzz bikes of 2012 - Senior Editor Jason Thorpe puts it to the test, but will it live up to the hype? Andrew Nelson is also celebrated on the cover as a first-time MOPAR Canadian Superbike Championship race winner after many, many years of trying!

In addition to the Explorer, we also test the MV Agusta Brutale RR 1090 and the Yamaha YZF-R1. Of the naked, 156 hp Brutale, Editor-At-Large Costa Mouzouris comments that "everything about it says supersport in disguise," while Tech Editor John Sharrard considers the traction control-enhanced R1 "a quantum leap ahead of the first crossplane-crankshaft R1 that turned the engineering wold on its end when it was debuted in 2009."

Wally Klammer takes us on an extreme off-road adventure to Moab, Utah, considered by many as a 'mecca' of off-road riding. Compared to the green, damp forests we're accustomed to in Canada, the barren red rock landscape of Moab is truly other-worldly... this month's Rapid Classics features the Daytona-Winning Triumph 500 Twins of Gary Nixon and Buddy Elmore... the Motorcyclists Confederation of Canada (MCC) announces the 2012 Canadian Motorcycle Hall of Fame inductees, while the Ontario Federation of Trail Riders (OFTR) celebrates President Ken Hoeverman's receipt of a Queen's Diamond Jubilee award.

Turning our focus to competition, Colin Fraser and Vicki Schouten provide two varied opinions on MotoGP champ Casey Stoner's retirement announcement... we provide a full, class-by-class review of the Canadian Superbike opener... Andrew Trevitt explains the differences (and similarities) between World, AMA and Canadian Superbike machinery... we profile Ontario's Erie City Ramblers racing club and Atlantic road racing sensation Austin Shaw O'Leary, and Editor Graeme Jones goes to road racing school to show other newbies that it's not that hard to go racing.
