Rossi Tops Sepang Test Times

Sepang International (Malaysia)- Yamaha Factory Racing's Valentino Rossi has completed the second official test of the 2014 MotoGP season as the fastest rider. Rossi wrapped up the three days of riding at the Sepang International circuit in Malaysia with a fastest time of 1'59.999, one of only two riders to drop under the two minute mark after an impressive fastest lap today.

MotoGP Returns to New Look IMS in August, 2014

October 3, 2013- The FIM MotoGP World Championship will return to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway for a seventh consecutive year in 2014, as the Red Bull Indianapolis GP will take place Aug. 8-10 on a revised motorcycle circuit that will create even more exciting action.The 2014 date is one week earlier than the 2012 and 2013 events at IMS.

Marquez sweeps at MotoGP Indy

Marc Marquez of the Repsol Honda Team won the Red Bull Indianapolis GP on Sunday, Aug. 18 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, the 10th of 18 events in the 2013 MotoGP World Championship.

Rookie Marquez, from Spain, earned his third consecutive victory and fourth victory of the season on his Repsol Honda - both tying records for a first-year rider in the premier class set in 1978 by American Kenny Roberts, who went on to win the 500cc World Championship that year.

Crutchlow signs with Ducati

Ducati has reached an agreement with Cal Crutchlow that will have the Briton campaigning the 2014 and 2015 MotoGP race seasons with the Ducati Team. Crutchlow will race alongside Andrea Dovizioso. The British rider and the Italian, who were team-mates in 2012, will work on developing the Desmosedici and growing Ducati’s MotoGP project.

Lorenzo Three-peats at Mugello

Jorge Lorenzo has won the Gran Premio d’Italia TIM for the third successive year, leading home MotoGP™ championship leader Dani Pedrosa and Britain’s Cal Crutchlow. There were crashes for both local hero Valentino Rossi and Marc Marquez, ending the Spanish rookie’s run of consecutive podium finishes.

Lorenzo tops qualifying at MotoGP Jerez

Jorge Lorenzo has clinched his second pole position of the 2013 MotoGP™ season, topping an incident-packed qualifying session in Jerez on his 26th birthday. Lorenzo, Rossi and Yamaha Happy with First Test

The long winter wait was finally over this morning as the 2013 MotoGP field took to the track in Sepang for the first official test of 2013. Reunited Yamaha Factory Racing teammates Jorge Lorenzo and Valentino Rossi were quick to blow off any cobwebs from the winter rest. Rossi was initially the fastest rider during the majority of the morning session, clearly taking little time to re-bond with the YZR-M1 that has brought him so much previous success.
